Perfect instruction for installing

I personally went for VM WS installation, because of the portability is a very important issue
for me.

For these run out of disk space, like me, i suggest to install ISTA+in VMWare WS Ver 12X with
win7 X64 Guest, Earlier VMWare versions down to 10 probably will work as well. Disk space need
runs to 350GB. I used 350GB diskspace on SSD installed in a caddy sitting in DVD slot of an i3
notebook.

ISTA can be working good soon, in case you are following the excellent instructibles of spider80
without missing not a one step of instruction.

X86 apps in VM X64 environment like itoolradar arose a java problem, even when I tried to
isntall an outdated X86 Java version.

Mayor Ista+/ISTA P Working like a charm(i used icom with latest firmware update). Running ISTA-P
requires good charging

equipment with constant additional load otherwise it will quit session. BMW currentliy advices
supply> 70A. For older cars like E-series.
25A seem to be ok in my opinion.

Installed…100% working…so had to log back in and reply with Big thanks to the super package

Just had two little snags when installing under win7 X86….

1) vcrdist_X86 2008.exe download was corrupt…but easily solved by re-downloading from
microsh@ft
2) no java included in download package…again easily found via Guugle! many thanks again

Its new CPU and LCD touch screen (7″ LCD 1024×600 resolution touch scrren), dramatically improved the entire users’experience, much more smooth comparing with DS708. Personally, I would recommend DS808 for those small shops with limit budgets. Of course, if money is not a problem, Maxisys Elite may be your good choice.It is smaller than ms906, so very handy.

Register Autel Maxidas DS808:

Registering the device was easy. I simply go to autel’s website and set up an account. Once I do that I take the registration code/passcode from the scan tool and register it on the website. I  then make sure that the scan tool is hooked up to my wifi which is setup in settings. Then I am ready to update the scan tool with the latest software.

Update Autel Maxidas DS808:

Make sure the Display Tablet is connected to a power source with stable access to the internet.

Tap the Update application button from the Autel Maxisys Job Menu;or tap the update notification message when received one; or tap the Update icon on Vehicle Menu in Diagnostics application.

The Update application screen displays.

Check all available updates:

If you decide to update all the items, tap the Update All button.

If you only want to update one or some of the item(s), tap the Update button on the right column of the specific item(s).

Tap the Pause button to suspend the updating process. When you tap Continue to renew the update, the updating process will resume from the break point.

When the updating process is completed, the firmware will be installed automatically. The previous version will be replaced.

Health report, is a full system scanning test and show lots of useful data.

System scan, maybe a basic scanning, haven’t click it.

System selection, select a single system to diagnose if know what’s wrong exactly.

Frequently used special function, like reset DPF, EPB, Service light, Battery registration, IMMO matching etc.
